My style of travel is not to tick off countries and many of the countries on the list happened by chance. I definitely am one for re-visiting places that I like, that’s for sure. But I did decide to count out of curiosity and it did make me realise I was close to reaching 40. And as I’m going to be 40 soon, I will do my 40th country in my 40th year. Am not sure if I will manage that as I’m trying to save for bigger travel rather than spend on little trips, but I might see if I can manage it.
Coming from the UK, you can be a bit of a travel cheat, as with Europe, not being that big, you can easily get to a lot of places really quickly and easily. School trips and trips with work helped add to my Euro list as well.

Where I’ve been:

Much of western Europe: France, Monaco, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, Sardinia, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Finland, various Greek islands, Malta, Cyprus
USA – New York, Miami, California, Las Vegas, Niagra Falls, Memphis, Upper New York State, New York & Brooklyn
Canada – Toronto & South Ontario, Montreal
Bahamas, Barbados, Morocco, South Africa
Fiji, New Zealand, Australia: (not North West and Tasmania)
Bali, Malaysia: KL and Penang
Thailand: Phuket, Krabi, Koh Samui/Koh Phangan, Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, Bangkok (and bits in between)
Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Laos, Hong Kong & Macau
Japan, Cayman Islands, Honduras
Cuba, Toronto,  Iceland, Portugal

Where next?

Well who knows, but these are some places that am keen to get to in the next few years (as well as re-visting many others):

Burma, Philippines, Taiwan, Korea
Australia – North Western, Tasmania and inland
Borneo, Papua New Guinea, Mexico, Costa Rica
Canada – Vancouver, USA – Portland, Nashville, New Orleans, New England
Sweden, Norway, Croatia, Namibia, Malawi, Madagascar, Zanzibar
Ireland – I know it’s next door but it’s just not happened yet (considering I haven’t even been to Scotland, this isn’t so bad)
The Cook Islands
